Terms of Use

About these terms

Transcribe (transcribe.spotpris.today) is a personal project run by Edwin, an individual based in Sweden. By using the site, you agree to these terms. The site is offered "as-is" and on a best-effort basis — it is not a commercial service with a dedicated support team.

The service

Transcribe converts audio recordings and uploads into text using a third-party speech-to-text provider, and offers translation, speaker recognition, and notebook features. Because the site runs as a personal project, I cannot guarantee 100% uptime or error-free transcription. Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, language, and content; I provide no SLA on accuracy or availability.

Hour packs and balance

Every new account receives 1 free hour as a signup bonus, granted automatically. Additional capacity is sold as one-time hour packs (1, 5, 10, 50, 100 hours), with volume discounts on larger packs. Hour-pack balance never expires as long as the account is active. There are no recurring subscriptions — each pack is a one-off purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are handled on a reasonable-judgement basis if something goes wrong; contact me via the form.

Acceptable use

You agree to upload only audio you have the right to transcribe. You may not: upload illegal content, content that infringes third-party copyright, or recordings made without the consent of the people recorded where local law requires consent; attempt to bypass billing or rate limits; run automated scraping; or use the service to generate transcripts for resale as a competing transcription product. Accounts that misuse the service may be closed without notice and the remaining balance forfeited in cases of clear abuse.

Intellectual property

The site design, code, and written copy belong to me (Edwin) as the author. The transcripts and translations produced from your audio belong to you — I claim no rights over your content. The underlying speech-to-text and translation models belong to their respective providers.

Liability

Because Transcribe is a personal project, I cannot be held liable for indirect damages, lost revenue, or decisions made based on the transcripts produced. Transcripts may contain errors and should not be treated as a verbatim legal record. My total liability is limited to the amount you have paid in hour-pack purchases in the past 12 months.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes should first be resolved through dialogue (the contact form); failing that, through the Swedish courts, with Stockholm District Court as the first instance. Consumers always have the right to refer disputes to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. For significant changes, the date above is updated and logged-in users are notified by email. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the new terms.
